| We, as individuals, are allowed to fly at this site. It is a shared with all other model fliers who choose to fly there. It is not administered by any particular club The area is also shared with horse riders, ramblers and dogwalkers. It is with mutual respect and tolerance for all other users that we are allowed to fly there. The landowner, and his family, allow us to fly there at any time as long as we all have valid BMFA model flying insurance for up to £10,000,000 Some of the landowners family also ride horses, so always be especially friendly and polite. The two grass " runways " or " firebreaks " are rough mown three times a year, but do not suit small model aircraft wheels. Larger wheels of at least 3 inches, preferably 4 inches diameter, will work best on the rough mown gorse and moor grass. Although electrically powered gliders are best suited to this site. A " code of conduct " has been written in consultation with other model aircraft clubs and individuals who use Little Haldon for recreational purposes. Please follow the country code at all times |
